UW Group, together with our principal WENCON, recently hosted two dedicated technical training sessions focused on the practical use of WENCON epoxy products and solutions for marine applications.
The sessions took place on 9 September 2026 in Greece and 17 September 2026 in Cyprus, bringing together maritime professionals for an interactive programme combining technical knowledge, practical demonstrations and real-world repair experience.
From Technical Knowledge to Practical Application
Designed to provide participants with hands-on insight into the application of WENCON products, the training covered key aspects of epoxy repair solutions and their use in demanding marine environments.

Technical Presentation
An overview of WENCON epoxy products, their properties and applications across a range of marine repair requirements.
Surface Preparation
A practical look at correct surface preparation methods, application techniques and best practices to help ensure reliable results.
Practical Application
Participants had the opportunity to see the products applied in practice through hands-on demonstrations on real components.
Q&A & Case Discussion
An interactive session addressing technical questions and discussing real onboard repair cases, providing practical advice based on actual marine applications and experience.
Learning Through Experience
The combination of technical presentation and practical demonstration allowed participants to explore not only what the products can do, but how they should be applied correctly in real working conditions.
The open discussion also provided an opportunity to exchange experiences and address specific technical challenges encountered in marine repair and maintenance.
Following the training, participants had the opportunity to continue the discussion in a more informal setting over a buffet and drinks.
